Ali Sentmanat presented "The Bear" by Anton Chekhov this spring as a senior studio.

The senior studios are the culmination of the drama major during which each senior casts and directs a play of his or her choosing.

"The Bear" is a fast-paced and witty Russian farce. The story features a widow named Popova, who is mourning the death of her ill-behaved husband. Smirnoff enters demanding 1200 rubles (about $75,000) that Popova’s late husband owed him; Popova refuses to give him the money, resulting in the two fighting about men and women and which is the better sex.
