Hannah Korman Awarded Scholarship for University of Dallas Rome Program

2015 Apr 2

Hannah Korman, a University of Dallas student from Lakeville, Minn., was awarded a scholarship to study abroad during the fall semester at the University of Dallas' Eugene Constantin Campus near Rome, Italy. Korman was awarded the Rome Experience Scholarship. This scholarship provides financial support to make participation in the UD Rome Program possible.

Since 1970, students at the University of Dallas have had the opportunity to spend a semester in Rome studying, traveling and experiencing the art, architecture, literature, philosophy and deeds that form the basis of Western civilization.

In addition to taking study trips to locations like the Roman Colosseum and the Vatican, students also travel throughout Italy on professor-led tours. A highlight of the semester is a ten-day study tour of Greece where students perform plays in ancient amphitheaters and read about Socrates on the sites where he once philosophized.

In 1994, the University of Dallas dedicated its Eugene Constantin Campus near Rome, Italy. In addition to providing a study-abroad opportunity for undergraduate students during the school year, the campus also hosts special summer programs for both high school students and adults.
