Jessie Koster Nominated NCAA Female of the Year
2017 Aug 22
Jessie Koster, a 2017 graduate and four-year letter winner with the University of Dallas volleyball team, was nominated for National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Woman of the Year. Koster was among 197 female student-athletes to be nominated in NCAA Division III, and among 544 candidates in all NCAA divisions.
In order to qualify, a student-athlete must demonstrate strength in these four pillars: academics, athletics, service and leadership.
Koster became the first Crusader in the program to earn a spot on the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) West All-Region Team and Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Backrow Player of the Year. She also secured an All-American title with the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
In spring 2017, Koster earned another NCAA scholarship for part-time or full-time postgraduate study. Koster is now seeking admission into a dentistry program, after graduating from the University of Dallas in May with a bachelor's in Biology.
