Rebecca Mitton Presents Chemistry Research

Rebecca Mitton, a junior Chemistry major from Slidell, Louisiana, was one of ten University of Dallas students to present research to a panel of university chemistry professors.

Mitton's research, "Synthesis and Characterization of LaMnO3 Perovskite-Based Catalysts," examined several catalysts that were based on LaMnO3 . Mitton completed her research at the Universite Claude Bernard Lyon 1 during the summer of 2017.

Undergraduate research is a requirement for the university's B.S. degrees in both chemistry and biochemistry; it is most frequently completed during the summer after a student's junior year either at the University of Dallas in Irving or another research institution.
