For this year's 10th annual North Texas Giving Day, university patrons will join together in the center of our Irving campus at the first-ever Cap Bar Headquarters, where the baristas will also serve a signature drink of the day, to encourage university-wide participation and giving.
Last year, the University of Dallas received 445 individual gifts from alumni, current students, parents, faculty, staff and friends of the university adding up to a total of $240,833.
"This year, our goal is to have more than 600 donors participating - so please join me and help us reach our goal, by spreading the word about North Texas Giving Day and the tremendous impact each gift has on the lives of our students," said University of Dallas Interim President John G. Plotts, Ed.D.
The Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT) - the largest community foundation in Texas - first launched North Texas Giving Day in 2009 to serve as a hub connecting local donors with nonprofits. And for most funds raised in 2017, the University of Dallas ranked No. 23 among all nonprofits participating in North Texas Giving Day.
