One dozen high school seniors recently completed the University of Dallas' College Citizens Program, an academically rigorous summer program for rising high school seniors living in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The program is funded by the Teagle Foundation through a Knowledge for Freedom initiative grant.

Respectively earning one of the nation's most competitive scholarships awarded in academia and research, Phillip Wozniak, BA '15, and Emily Files Collins, BA '17, now join nearly four dozen University of Dallas alumni to receive the highly sought-after Fulbright, including UD's first student-winner in 1962, Professor of English Robert Scott Dupree.

Thirteen UD students were nominated by their supervisors for student employee of the year.

Participating students will graduate in five years with a bachelor's degree in biology from UD and a bachelor's of science degree in nursing from TWU. The one-day conference, "Philosophical Aspects of the Digital Age," addressed the impact of the digital age on human life and culture, and included presentations from the following local students:

Two local University of Dallas students recently participated in the American Collegiate Moot Court Association (ACMA) South Texas Regional competition at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where their team finished fourth of 18 teams.

The following local students served on the organizing committee of Charity Week, a week long annual tradition at the University of Dallas that has benefited a variety of national, regional and local charities. This year's event raised nearly $20,000 for two Dallas organizations: White Rose Women's Center and Catholic Charities of Dallas Elderly and Family Services.
